What is Radiesse?
Radiesse is the first and only FDA-approved CaHA that provides immediate contouring plus the stimulation of collagen and elastin production. Most dermal fillers are made with a substance called hyaluronic acid (HA) which is used strictly as a facial filler. However, Radiesse is made with Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA) which provides the benefits of a facial filler plus the benefits of stimulating collagen production.
Collagen is one of the most essential components of firm and healthy skin. So, what sets Radiesse apart from HA fillers is the calcium hydroxylapatite solution in Radiesse helps your body produce more collagen for results that only get better over time. This means treatment with Radiesse will continue to work after your initial procedure is over.
LaVida specializes in a newer and highly effective use for Radiesse – the technique of hypderdilution. When diluted and injected superficially, Radiesse acts as an extremely effective collagen stimulating agent. The Hyperdilute Radiesse technique combines the filler with saline and lidocaine, thinning the consistency and increasing the volume of product. The Hyperdilute Radiesse is then injected into the desired area through a thin cannula. This treatment is a favorable alternative to surgical intervention such as facelift or neck and décolleté lift.

Pre-Treatment Instructions
Arnica is to be taken the day before your appointment (a couple of doses) and the morning of your appointment, we have found that there is much less bruising and swelling even with lip injections, thus a more favorable outcome with less down time! Arnica is a naturopathic anti-inflammatory that helps with swelling and bruising. It can be purchased at Sprouts, Whole Foods, any Vitamin Shop like Hi Health. We also sell Arnica at LaVida Medspa for only $7.
